A child's early years often bring wonder and excitement for families! Children grow and change rapidly from birth to kindergarten entrance, and are learning every day. While all young children grow and change at their own rate, some children experience delays in their development or have special health conditions that require extra help to learn and grow.
Because parents know their child the best, they may be the first to notice that their child is developing differently than other babies or young children. If you are looking for information or you have concerns about your child's development we are here to help.
In 1986, the Kandiyohi County Interagency Early Intervention Committee (IEIC) was formed along with 97 other IEIC committees across Minnesota. In coordination with the Minnesota Department of Education and the Help Me Grow program we work with children and families to provide early identification and intervention for young children with special needs and/or health related conditions from birth to age five in Kandiyohi County.
